From Chanel to Dior, Valentino and Armani Prive just to name a few, stars dressed to impress in the designers label and stunned.

Chanel was a delight as expected and my favorite. Karl Lagerfeld opened up the show with signature tweed suits and ended with “lamp shape” evening wear. Here are my favorite highlights from the show.

Layer Up

Olivia Palermo

Keeping cozy in these chill winter days does not mean you have to sacrifice fashion. It's all about layering to pile on the warmth, but to pull it off stylishly you'll need to keep a few points in mind. Take a cue from Olivia Palermo who flawlessly works the layered look. Pick pieces in contrasting fabrics such as wool, leather and faux fur. Start with form fitting basics like a fitted sweater and build with chunkier pieces. Keep palettes in similar hues, with a pop of color to complete this look.

New Year, New You

3 Hot New Trends To Try this Month

Kristen Bell

CROPPED PANTS
Relaxed crop trousers are so right now and the update to last seasons crop tapered styles. And what's so great about this cut, its one that will flatter all shapes.
To pull this look off you'll need to pair it with the right counterparts. Wear a top or blazer that hits hip length to elongate the legs, anything longer will shorten you. Complete the look with pumps for a clean line, versus ankle-strap shoes which will cut your foot in an uncomplimentary way.

Miley Cyrus

PLUNGING NECKLINES
While these skin barring necklines have been popular for a while, the fresh way to don this look is with a mesh inset. Its just as revealing but with a hint of curiosity. And for those with bigger busts, the added panel adds support. Keep accessories understated, keeping the focus on the dress.

Angelina Jolie

LEATHER PENCIL SKIRTS
Put away the leather mini and go for a leather pencil skirt. Not only is it much more flattering, skimming your curves but its much more wearable. Wear it to the office with a flowy blouse and pumps.  Take it to evening with a fitted top and edgy heels.

Getaway Essential

Ramona La Rue Kaftan

If your feeling the winter blues and planning a beach getaway like many of us, a kaftan is a must on your packing list. Forget last summers animal print styles and opt for fresh bold print one in vibrant hues, like this Ramona La Rue which is available at She She Clothing Boutique. And what's so great about kaftan's they not only work as a beach cover-up but can be worn as a dress. Take it to evening by swapping out the tie with a skinny metallic belt.

Scarf It Up!

Brighten up your staple black coat with a fun scarf like Blake Lively. Not only will it keep you warm, but instantly jazz up your dark ensemble, and draw attention to your upper half. A bold print like this is so versatile and works with so much. Wear it into Spring as a shawl, and into summer as a sarong. Now that's a bang for your buck!

Reivent Your Sweater Dress

There's no better way to stay cozy and chic than with a sweater dress. Whether you're headed to the office or a night on the town,  it works. Instantly update the one in your closet with few key accessories. Claudia Schiffer gives her sweater dress a corporate twist with a thin waist defining belt and pencil skirt silhouette. Take it into evening like Victoria Beckham, with an above the knee hemline, opaque tights and sexy stilletos.

Tip: If wearing a form fitting sweater dress, be sure to wear your Spanx to create a seamless shape.

Wearing Winter White

Love the Winter White look but not sure how to pull it off? Here are five tricks on pulling off this seasonal that anyone can pull off.

Ginnifer Goodwin
1. If wearing a white dress, pair it with black opaque tights and shoes, as Ginnifer Goodwin did.

2. Choose for textures such as tweed, cashmere and wool, which all have depth for a pulled together look. Refrain from light weight summer fabrics.

Kirsten Dunst

3. Opt for an off white that's slightly off like cream, ivory or ecru to maximize this style.

4. Break up your winter white ensemble with metallic accents as Kristen Dunst did.

5. Take a cue from Camilla Belle and wear hints of black with a white pantsuit for a fresh take on this trend.
