Wearing Winter White

Love the Winter White look but not sure how to pull it off? Here are five tricks on pulling off this seasonal that anyone can pull off.

Ginnifer Goodwin
1. If wearing a white dress, pair it with black opaque tights and shoes, as Ginnifer Goodwin did.

2. Choose for textures such as tweed, cashmere and wool, which all have depth for a pulled together look. Refrain from light weight summer fabrics.

Kirsten Dunst

3. Opt for an off white that's slightly off like cream, ivory or ecru to maximize this style.

4. Break up your winter white ensemble with metallic accents as Kristen Dunst did.

5. Take a cue from Camilla Belle and wear hints of black with a white pantsuit for a fresh take on this trend.

Stars Are Loving [BLANKNYC]

[BLANKNYC] Faux Leather Pants

[BLANKNYC] continues to be a cult favorite with celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Perry Reeves, Kate Hudson and Rihanna. The latest style that everyone is obsessing over and one of the top sellers at She She Clothing Boutique right now is the new Faux Leather Skinny Pants. It's perfect for the cool weather, animal friendly and won't put a dent in your wallet.

The key to pulling off this bold bottom is to pair it with contrasting counterparts to keep from looking skimpy. Such as a boxy knit sweater that falls just below your hips which will balance the fitted bottom and create a sleek look. Pair suede heels or booties for a fashion forward ensemble that's trés chic!

Hot Holiday Party Looks!

The holiday party season is well on the way and with lots more fetes to attend and New Year's Eve just two weeks away, what are you going to wear? Forget the traditional red cocktail dress and LBD that's so expected. Here are three 'get me noticed' looks that are sure to make a grand entrance.

Rachel Zoe
SEQUIN: Yes, its a holiday staple, but the fresh way to wear it is in a new silhouette like a jumpsuit or pantsuit in a hue such as ruby versus the standard black, gold and silver. Skip jewels and pair with simple leather heels.

Selena Gomez

SATIN: It's sexy, fluid and illuminating. Choose a cut that will show some skin, whether its a plunging neckline, open back or high thigh slit for an update on this seasonal favorite. Complete this getup with matching color textured accessories, creating a seamless monochromatic ensemble.

Lea Michelle
LACE: Go for a dress that falls above the knee and that's form fitting for a vavavoom factor.  Freshen it up with a pair of nude heels, which will keep the focus on your lace number and elongate your legs.

Glimmer and Glitz

Heidi Klum

Kerry Washington

Its the time of year when you can really bring out all the sparkle. Whether its a festive event or a fancy soiree, a metallic dress is sure to make a statement. Get inspired by Hollywood's leading ladies and opt for one with details like cut-outs, a cinched waist or a bias cut, which will flatter your shape and keep you from looking frumpy. And ladies, this is one time to bring out the shape-wear to create a seamless look as metallic highlights all.

Like with any standout ensemble, you'll want to keep accessories to a minimum and let the metallic dress be the center of attention. Pair simple heels and jewels that blend rather than clash. For a great selection of sizzling metallic pieces and more, check out my favorite place in Palm Desert, She She Clothing Boutique!

Pantsuit Alert!

Heidi Klum
Pantsuits are in big time this season, and a perfect look that transitions from the office to a holiday party. While most of us may not dare to wear a red pantsuit like Heidi Klum, you can wear your black one already in your closet. Just swap your pumps for sexy stilettos and add some bling, and you'll be ready to dance the night away.  And don't forget to bring your makeup bag to spruce up your look.

Shimmer and Shine!

Victoria Justice

It's the season of holiday parties and what better way to an entrance than in a sequined look.  Hollywood's chicest stars are up on this trend and have been spotted in standout sparkly ensembles. Whether it's a gala, cocktail or dinner party your attending, a black sequin dress is classic and appropriate. For a more fashion forward look try a sequin mini dress in a metallic hue, or a sparkly blazer over your top and jeans. To maximize this look,  keep the focus on the sequin and keep accessories understated. And please don't wear matching sequined shoes or you'll look like a beauty pageant contestant. Opt for matte leather heels in the same hue or nude shoes.

Paris Hilton

Gwyneth Paltrow

Elle Macpherson

So now where do you go to get this look? At She She Clothing Boutique of course! Check out below some of their hot sellers in store right now plus so much at the boutique. I know I will...

Music Monday | Called Out In The Dark by Snow Patrol

So my new fave song is, "Called Out In The Dark" by Snow Patrol. If it wouldn't drive the She She girls up a wall, I would have this song on repeat all day long, well mixed in with Christmas music of course. When I told my husband about my new love, he said, "that's such a you song." Not sure if thats good or bad but I don't care cause I'm a fan! And no, they don't replace Coldplay, they are still my # 1.

Must Have Hats

Tis the season for hats. And this winter there's a new kid on the block when it comes to head-wear, well actually 3 new kids...Krochet Kids. So what's so special about these designers? Not only are their hats stylish, but they employ local women in Uganda whom they have personally taught to crochet their designs,  therefore allowing them to earn a fair wage for a 40 hour work week. But it doesn't stop there. They cap the work week at 25 hours, and the remaining 15 hours are spent on health, education and finance classes. WOW, now that's amazing! So when you buy a hat, know you're helping to empower women in Uganda,  helping them to have a better life all while keeping your head fashionably cozy.

Now, Krochet Kids aren't available everywhere, but She She just got in 4 of the hottest styles.... Bella (shown above), Margot, Toob and 5207. And with fans like Taylor Swift and Cameron Diaz already rockin' them, rest assure Krochet Kids will be the next big craze and selling out, so grab yours while they last!

Whether your a hippie chic or one who loves seventies fashions, now you can play up that look with an iconic suede fringe bag that's back in style. At She She Clothing Boutique who always has the latest and hottest, now have in stock fringe bags from JJ Winters, who have a huge celebrity following including Vanessa and Paris. My favorite from this brand that She She carries are styles 323 and 351 shown below. So hurry on in and get yours before they're all gone!

Winter Wardrobe Basics

Ok friends. Its finally getting cold and we need to get our winter wardrobes in order! A great wardrobe is built off a stong foundation, so having all the basics will help you complete the look you dream of having! We put together a checklist below to make sure you are covered. I know every morning when I'm getting dressed, I use at least one item off this list, so lets make sure you have what you need, too. The biggest shopping weekend of the year is almost here so now you have your shopping list and a good reason to get out and fight those crowds!

BUT, before you get started we need to get our closets in order. If you haven't done this already put your summer clothes aside, in another closet or pack them away (I like this idea because they will feel new when you unpack them all next spring). Get out last years sweaters and run them to the dry cleaner. For those of you that store your sweaters properly, you are awesome! I'm not awesome but would love to be, so when its time, we can run though this process together. Oh and please be sure to retire those that are pilling, stretched out or dated! Also, get rid of your cotton tees that have holes (I know I'm not alone in this one!) Clearing out your closet just makes room for more, a saying my mom used to tell me, which always motivated me to get rid of things! Basically, a closet reorganization is needed so plan an afternoon to get this done. My favorite saying is, “take 5 to save 15”. In this case, take a couple hours over the weekend to save 15 minutes every morning. Flipping through your clothes, digging though piles of drawers and running back and forth between closets is no bueno. We do not want to add more chaos to our already busy lives!

Now our closets are organized and ready for more! Read through this list and make sure to pick up anything you might not have. All of these items are available at She She and one of our stylists would love to help you cross them off your list!
Bare bones Essentials (you can always have more) but this is a good start:
Long Sleeve Scoop and/or V-Neck Tshirts
__Black, __White

Sleeveless Sweater – option to throw one of your l/s tops under this to keep you warm . I have a cute one from Free People that you'll often see me wearing.

Long  Sleeve Sweater
__Spaghetti Strap Tanks (great to layer and perfect for off-the-shoulder sweaters)

Cardigan
__Fleece, __Cashmere __Acrylic or Wool Blend…whatever fits into your budget?

Tunic
__Cotton,__Sweater, __All of the above :)

Long Leggings
__Black, __Charcoal

Tights
__Black

Denim (Light denim is a good contrast, dark denim compliments this seasons dark colored tops)
__Skinny (so you can tuck in all your cute boots)
__Boot or Flare (Flare is all the rage but if you're not ready for this look, get back in a boot cut to help with the transistion)

Colored Denim
__Charcoal, __Brown and/or__A pop of color (red is my fave)

Slip Dress
(what's this for you ask? Tights are optional, boots a must, a cute sweater over the slip dress will complete this look)

Scarf
__Print,__Solid
Coat (you may have one from last season, but if not you may need to invest)

TOMS
__slipon,__ wedge, __botas or__ cordones…you might need 1 of each J

Of course tall boots are a must. I recently purchased black riding boots by Twelfth Street and LOVE! On the hunt for a cute brown pair, leave a comment if you have a suggestion!

This completes your basics, stay tuned as we post new arrivals of clothing and accessories to complete your winter looks!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Winter! XO Cara & Amy

Blazing Hot Blazers

Blazing Hot Blazers
A classic that's just not for buttoning up anymore. While its an office staple, it has become a hot trend on the red carpet. Stylish stars like Blake Lively and Sandra Bullock have been spotted pairing their evening dresses with a traditional black blazer. It adds a bit of edge and fresher than a wrap.
Make sure to find one that accentuates your waist versus a boxy fit to define your curves. I'm loving Level 99's Fiona Blazer ($123, in black paired with a Parker sequin dress, $308) at She She Clothing Boutique.
Tip: Leave your blazer unbuttoned, allowing the dress to peek through. And make sure the blazer falls just below your hips to maximize this look.

Music Monday

You may know Leslie Feist (known simply as Feist
as one of the members of indie rock legends
Broken Social Scene, or you may have heard
her songs on an episode of Grey's Anatomy or
is one of those rare indie artists who has managed
to gain wide success in the pop world without
compromising her vision or style.

We love Feist, and we are totally digging her new album Metals, where she once again
crafts beautiful, bittersweet songs about the inevitable unravelling of love. It may be an
age old story, but she makes it sound fresh every time.

Hot

Last seasons neon trend is still making spontaneous appearances in subtle ways, but the must have hue this season is bold orange. From frilly frocks to knit separates and tailored coats, its a color that works on all. Invest in a statement piece available at She She Clothing Boutique.

Keep it Tight November is officially the month to start wearing tights again, and this season its all about texture and color. But make sure to go for quality over quantity to avoid nylon sheen. Keep your legs slinky & sexy with a stylish twist!

Leopard print has been a classic for decades, but this Fall its updated in sexy new silhouettes and fabrications. If you're not a print person and shy from it, then gravitate towards leopard print accessories like sexy stilettos that will accent your LBD or skinny jeans.

Not

Jeggins Fashion's least attractive lovechild will highlight every lump and bump on your thighs and bum.

Knuckle Duster Rings Kind of cool in theory, kind of a nightmare if you ever need to do anything involving your hands.

Crop Tops were all the rave, but the midriff season is behind us. So store it away as for Spring 2012 it will make a reappearance.
